Every soul to God is priceless

by Michael Walkerdine inspired by Pastor Benny Hinn

Every soul to God is priceless

Every soul to God is priceless

Every soul to God is priceless

Every soul to God is priceless

Every soul to God is ??

Did you know that every soul to God is priceless?

Did you ever think about the cost of a persons soul?

It might not have any worth to you – but to God it is priceless – therefore it should mean a lot to you.

If you really love God,

If you have truly given your heart to God then…

you need to understand……

you need to believe…….

And you need to take on board the fact that every soul is priceless to God.

You cant buy souls, no much how much money you give to someone,

How much love, how much persuading you do

You cannot buy souls for God.

You can however win souls, you can win souls by the way you live you life – you can live your life and be an example to others. You can win souls by the love you give, by the way you bless people.

There is a subtle difference between buying and winning – and that has a significant consequence.

You see if I said to someone ~ if I gave you a £20 would you become a Christian – they would probably say no.

What about £100

What about £1000

What about £10,000

What about 100,000 – that sounds interesting

What a bout a couple of million – oh yes and you can have my smelly feet as well.

But what sort of Christian do you think they would be?

They may go through the motions, the sinners prayers,

Be the do gooders, be at the forefront of what's going on  - but what's in the heart, who's side are they really on?

I am talking here about people that come into Christianity

that  come into the church for a status symbol,

for the social standing that it gives them in the community.

I think back to the days before I was saved – we lived in a little village outside Derby – it was very hoity toity, noses in the air above the clouds – and on a Sunday all the social climbers would come out with their best Sunday clothes, the ladies with their hats on  - gents suited and booted

They dressed for Jesus, well that’s what they would have you believe - they weren't really there showing the latest fashions from Paris – or trying to impress 'her next door.

Lord forgive me if I am judging.

Have they really given their life to the Lord, or just being in a place where it is good to be seen

Well if they sold their soul like that  - then they are probably under the authority of Satan – because Satan buys souls, Lucifer trades souls for lies, deceit, for idle promises.

That’s why every soul is priceless to God.

Every time you walk down the street look just above peoples heads and visualise the £ signs – look around this room and see the £ signs above our brothers and sisters heads.

Everyone,

Every person that is saved has a price tag

Every person that isn’t saved has a price tag

Every person that has submitted to Satan has a price tag

Tell the person sitting next to you  - there is a price tag on your head

Now tell the person on the other side – there is a price tag on your head.

And guess what they all same the same amount  ‘Priceless’

-     Its true – there is not one person more or less valuable than the other – not in Gods eyes any way – we might think someone is worth more than someone else – but they are not. We each have a valuable, priceless, individual, exceptional, enhanced, hand made, personal job to do for God – some of us don’t know yet what it is – but each and every one of us is a personal assistant to God

We are blessed and highly favoured, we have been created by the Almighty

for the Almighty

and for the salvation of others

amen

lets us not forget that

- let us not get complacent about the job we have to do – and that job is to win souls.

We will come back to this a bit later.

Please turn to Deuteronomy 7:9 – let me tell you a little about Deuteronomy

Class reunions, scrapbooks and photo albums, familiar songs, and old neighbourhoods – like long time friends they awaken our memories and stir our emotions.

The past is a kaleidoscope of promises, failures, victories and embarrassments. Some times we want to forget memories that are painful.

As time passes remembrances of unpleasant events usually fade into our subconscious. but there is a time to remember – mistakes should not be repeated, commitments made must be fulfilled and the memory of a special event can encourage us and move us to action.

So the book of Deuteronomy has a purpose and that purpose is to remind us of what God has done and to encourage us to rededicate our lives to him.

Deuteronomy 7:9

9 Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands. 10 But

  Those who hate him he will repay to their face by destruction;

he will not be slow to repay to their face those who hate him.

DT 7:11 Therefore, take care to follow the commands, decrees and laws I give you today.

DT 7:12 If you pay attention to these laws and are careful to follow them, then the LORD your God will keep his covenant of love with you, as he swore to your forefathers. 13 He will love you and bless you and increase your numbers. He will bless the fruit of your womb, the crops of your land--your grain, new wine and oil--the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks in the land that he swore to your forefathers to give you. 14 You will be blessed more than any other people; none of your men or women will be childless, nor any of your livestock without young. 15 The LORD will keep you free from every disease. He will not inflict on you the horrible diseases you knew in Egypt, but he will inflict them on all who hate you. 16 You must destroy all the peoples the LORD your God gives over to you. Do not look on them with pity and do not serve their gods, for that will be a snare to you.

I have been thinking about the last year – the excitement that I had this time last year for our Church launch.

The preparations that had been in the planning process for months

The new start that we were going to have as a group of brothers and sisters – the dreams of a growing church,

The dreams of moving on – its must have been similar for the Israelites as they entered the promised land.

There was a sense of hope, a sense of a positive future, and we were all so positive about the future.

So what's happened in the last year.

Well the Lord has taken a couple of us home to be with him – and we said our sad goodbyes,

We have had a steady stream of visitors and some have joined us and made us there home – and we thank God for them.

The leadership, musicians, and peoples individual ministries march on – but you know its not easy for us, its not a full time job for us – we do our best to keep things moving, we do our best to keep every one happy – and we are not always going to succeed  - because if we did  - we as a group would not grow in the Lord – each and everyone of us has to work together for the purpose of the Lord.

And that means learning from our mistakes.

Where have I failed this year – well I haven’t done nearly enough evangelising, leaflet dropping, keeping in touch with my brothers and sisters. The constitution and members book – still not complete

And that is not good – that is a disrespect for the ‘pricelessicity’ of the souls.

That is a disrespect for Gods work.

The scripture means this:

Because of what God has done for us we should have hope and follow him,

because of what he expects, we should listen and obey, because of who he is, we should love him completely – learning these lessons will prepare us to move on and grow as a fellowship.

We need to remember how God has expressed his kindness in our lives – and then commit ourselves again to trust, love, and obey him.

We cant buy salvation, God knows what is in our hearts, God knows what is on our minds – God sees our sincerity.

So only you with that right mind and that right heart  - can commit to God

I could do an alter call right now – asking you to recommit you lives to God – but I am not going to  -

Your ‘commitment to God’ doesn’t need me to make an alter call – you can do it at any time. For some it may take a few days to get your heart right, for some a few hours, for some your ready right now.

When its right for you – then its right for God.

You see its about you and God

Its about you and God

Its about you and God

I look around here and I can still see those pricetags – they are still saying priceless – every single one of them.

So whats the first birthday all about  - well it’s a celebration service – its to thank God for keeping us together – in the last year we have seen some wonderful works of the hand of God – some prayers wonderfully answered.

But its also a showcase – its an opportunity for us to present our God to the town of Ware. Its an opportunity to say  - we went it alone, Assemblies of God were with us, God was and is with us – we are here to stay and we are here to make a difference in peoples lives.

We are here to show people that our God is a living God, our God is a merciful God,

our God has plans for each and every on of us,

our God is our God and wants to be your God

our God answers prayers

our church is a community church – not just by name – but by our actions.

We are going to have a tremendous weekend – we have a wonderful preacher coming to visit us – he is truly blessed and highly favoured and his wife is bringing the choir. I know you are going to fall in love with them both – and I know they are going to love us

So all the preparations are in place – there is one thing left for all of us to do.

Remember those pricetags?

Well, we need to fill this place with price tags – you need to invite your butcher your baker and your candlestick maker along.

We need lots of pricetags and lots of bums on seats!!

Every soul to God is priceless

Every soul to God is priceless

Every soul to God is ……..

when you get to heaven God is going to say to you – lets look at all the price tags you could have taken – lets look at all the people you didn’t give an opportunity to give their lives to the Lord.

We had a great evening with Graham Hepburn a few months ago – now we have a concert, a show,

a musical evening, a service call it what you will  - lets spread the word –

if you need more invites – let us know

Your prayer and fasting will help this church –and  I don’t mean dear Lord please make the weekend a success, thankyou amen

Earnest prayer – spend time in the word – I know that’s what our more senior members will be doing for us this week

You see we need God in our church – we need new people in our church .the presence of God in our midst – saves lives

I still have a vision of 2000 worshipping Christians in this church, I see ware Pentecostal church being a church that is going to make a difference in peoples lives – and it starts this week

Every soul to God is priceless

Every soul to God is priceless

So come on my friends – lets break our barriers this week  - lets get out there and save the lost.

Today is the first day of the rest of our lives – lets start as we mean to go on.

Every soul to God is priceless

Every soul to God is priceless

I want to ask you all to now join me for ten minutes of prayer

Spend 10 minutes calling on the name of Jesus  - on the Holy Spirit to help us get our hearts and souls right, to have the Lord present to us people this week that we can talk to and share with.

Now pray out loud, or pray quietly, if you have never prayed out loud before – do so

Come lets all pray together
