Healing is yours
Lets first of all look at some scriptures that deal with healing
MT 21:14 The blind and the lame came to him at the temple, and he healed them.
MT 21:24 News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and he healed them.
MT 8:13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go! It will be done just as you believed it would." And his servant was healed at that very hour.
MT 8:16 When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. 17 This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
"He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases."
MT 9:20 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. 21 She said to herself, "If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed."
MT 9:22 Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment.
MT 12:22 Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see. 23 All the people were astonished and said, "Could this be the Son of David?"
MT 14:14 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.
MT 14:34 When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret. 35 And when the men of that place recognized Jesus, they sent word to all the surrounding country. People brought all their sick to him 36 and begged him to let the sick just touch the edge of his cloak, and all who touched him were healed.
MT 15:28 Then Jesus answered, "Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted." And her daughter was healed from that very hour. MT 15:29 Jesus left there and went along the Sea of Galilee. Then he went up on a mountainside and sat down. 30 Great crowds came to him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at his feet; and he healed them. 31 The people were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled made well, the lame walking and the blind seeing. And they praised the God of Israel.
LK 22:49 When Jesus' followers saw what was going to happen, they said, "Lord, should we strike with our swords?" 50 And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear. LK 22:51 But Jesus answered, "No more of this!" And he touched the man's ear and healed him.
Some time back Marcia and myself went to see in Norwich football stadium the ‘Benny Hinn Miracle Crusade’ we had a tremendous time in the presence of God
At that meeting – I rededicated my life back to the Lord - I believe God is going to have me working for him harder than ever before – and I am willing and I am ready – I am on fire for the kingdom of God - God is going to do great things in my families life – and we are ready to receive – we are rich beyond our wildest dreams in the presence of God - I am desperately, earnestly, seeking Gods will in my life – and I still have a vision of 2000 worshipping Christians in a church that I am to be a part of.
At the crusade We saw a professional sportsman healed of an Achilles' tendon injury – previously he couldn’t walk with out crutches or a wheelchair - I know how painful this is as I suffered the same ailment 11 years ago We saw tumors - healed, Two boys deaf from age 2 – healed, Arthritis -healed, Cancer of the ovaries -healed, In fact Benny said he hadn’t seen so many people healed in the UK at one of his crusades.
And the call for salvation – well there were thousands – dedicating and rededicating their lives to Jesus – Hallelujah
The point of all this is - Jesus didn’t just heal 2000 years ago Jesus heals today and now and in this place.
God doesn’t want to see us sick – Satan does God doesn’t want to see us broke – Satan does God doesn’t want to see us unhappy – Satan does God doesn’t want to see us in fear at our work place – Satan does
God wants riches and life abundant for us – Satan doesn’t God wants us to have the desires of our hearts – Satan doesn’t
You know A desire of the heart is different to wanting something – we can all want things - but a desire is something that God has planted in our hearts – and if God has planted something in our hearts – then we are going to get it because the desire is from him – if we live a faithful and obedient Christian life.
We have to believe that Jesus heals, we have to believe unreservedly that we can be healed – by the stripes on his back we are healed. Jesus took beating on his back so that we might be healed
If you have an ailment - and you have enough faith and believe that Jesus can heal – you will be healed today
If you have financial troubles and don’t know a way through them – Jesus will find you a way
If you are having relationship problems - Jesus can help you through them – he can comfort you, and take away the bad taste and nervousness, if you have Jesus in your life then you need nothing more than the love of Jesus.
Look at Marcia's life and mine – Marcia is so blessed – she really is and she knows it – God has been so good to her. You know she’s been blessed with a wonderful, caring, loving nothing is too much trouble husband – she is also very lucky she has got the best husband she has ever had!!
It wasn’t by chance that we got together it was through prayer, faith and believing that God is the source of all our lives – it was believing that God has plans for each and everyone of our lives and everything
If you are struggling with life generally - Jesus is your guide – he will carry you through the tough times. And walk with you through the good times.
Wherever you are today in life, if you are a born again Christian – God will take care of you – now that doesn’t mean that all your problems are just going to disappear, God doesn’t work like that - he allows situations to come your way to strengthen you – to build you up, to prepare you for the next step in your Christian life and Christian walk.
If you don’t have God in your life – then the struggles may seem like the end of the world – but if you are born again- God will not put you through more than he knows you can cope with –
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me
We have a God who heals, we have a God that made us in his image.
God wants to be part of your life this morning, he doesn’t want to be shut out of any aspect of your life. He has a plan for you – his plans are perfect for your good, your own plans are guaranteed to be thwarted with problems and obstacles.
Seek his perfect will this morning – seek him to meet your need this morning, Seek him to heal whatever needs healing in your life this morning Give it up this morning, give it up to Jesus
So wherever you are at this morning – Jesus is here to meet your needs –
Mathew 6:21 says for where your treasure is, there your heart is
What do you value most to day – things of this world? Do they rule your life – or is it Jesus
Are you ready to "Dare to Believe" that Jesus can heal you
If you are ready to give your life to Jesus then please say the Sinners Prayer and invite Jesus into your life
